Attorney meets with client and gets normal retainer and attorney designation along with MarGin provided consent document packet.
Attorney sends MarGin all paperwork as well as client contact info and any notes they took during meeting/new case call. To preserve document quality the hard copy original consent\request\authorization for medical records must be provided to MarGin.
We open file, set deadlines to include Statute of Limitations with advance reminders.
We reach out to the client to obtain:
- Any photographs of injuries, property damage, etc.
- Copy of Driver’s License, automobile insurance card, and all health insurance cards
- Treatment provider list & treatment plan
- Any accident report or exchanged information they may have
We instruct client to:
- Call, text, or email each time they have a doctor’s appointment to ensure we have all treatment providers accounted for and all treatment updates
- Obtain a copy of the declaration page from their insurance company and forward to us
We then:
- Request the police report;
- Send Letters of Representation to all 1st party, 3rd party, and health insurance carriers requesting policy limits and plan documents
Once client has finished treating OR treated enough that we feel minimum policy limits may be triggered we request all medical and billing records. We reach out to the client to obtain:
- Three damages witness statements
- Pain and suffering statement
We then draft the demand and pass off the file
